"He slept that night in his own country and he had a dream wherein he saw God's pilgrims laboring upon a darkened verge in the last of the twilight of that day and they seemed to be returning from some deep enterprise that was not of war nor were they yet in flight but rather seemed coming from some labor to which perhaps these and all other things stood subjugate."
The Crossing, Cormac McCarthy

The dreamer isn’t lonely. Not when, like van Gogh, he has reached that level of spiritual perfection. The dreamer, the artist, the saint, the monk on the snow levels of Tibet, are frightfully and dynamically and electrically unlonely people…This man isn’t lonely. He is simply drunk with colours, as lonely, yes exactly, as a bee or moth on the cup of whatever it happens to be, colour; trumpet flower, coral berry, wax-berry, gold-frilled petal of the evening primrose, green where a stem grows silver or where another green turns moss-green or under-apple-leaf green; these were things that for him had their exact counterpart on that miraculous palette.

The Doctor and The Little Prince

Guys, I literally kind of teared up at this, because if anyone would have kept the Little Prince from dying, it’s the Doctor.

My Lego TARDIS. 9 studs wide, about 13 bricks tall.

I’ll do much better on the next one.

Yo. Brothers. Get on this.

SAND DALEK!

So I’ve been finally making my way through the series with the Ninth Doctor (Christopher Eccleston, whom I love fiercely and viscerally, much like his iteration of the Doctor), and I now have only the last episode left (“The Parting of the Ways”). And….I’m kind of just refusing to watch it. Like sitting on the floor with my legs and arms crossed, saying, “No! I don’t wanna! It’s not fair!”
