"He slept that night in his own country and he had a dream wherein he saw God's pilgrims laboring upon a darkened verge in the last of the twilight of that day and they seemed to be returning from some deep enterprise that was not of war nor were they yet in flight but rather seemed coming from some labor to which perhaps these and all other things stood subjugate."
The Crossing, Cormac McCarthy

Maggie Gyllenhaal - 67th Annual Golden Globes, January 17th 2010

It probably says something odd about me that this is the only dress I feel compelled to reblog from the Golden Globes: it’s really the closest to architectural I saw, and god knows I love architectural lines in a dress. (I also know I should like Christina Hendrick’s dress; however, I think that as a woman of very little breast, seeing that much breast just sort of baffles me. That much breast is the sublime to me and as I cannot apprehend it, I cannot in all honesty find it attractive.)
