Oh hi cultured and travelled followers.

Due to an amazing confluence of events, namely:

1. I won a balling scholarship, and there is a significant chunk left over from it even after I pay my tuition for the year, and I am totally being irresponsible and spending some of it instead of saving it for next year;

2. I stockpiled a lot of money during August via overtime for potential long-distance relationship travelling and that sure isn’t happening anymore; and

3. I have a guy to travel with which is important because my mother has seen Taken,

I am going on an awesome amazing Reading Week trip somewhere in Europe this February, and currently we are considering:

London
Amsterdam
Berlin
Somewhere in Italy (Rome vs. Venice are the big ones I think)

Thoughts? Comments? Considerations? Personal experiences? Random uninformed biases? I want them.

  3. murmurandshout said: I’ll tell you all about London when I get back but in the meantime: Rome!
  4. yrfriendliz said: I lived in Rome for 6 months — definitely better than venice. venice gets old after a few days, SO MUCH to do in Rome. I would also think about Sweden or Denmark!! CONGRAT$$
